We are committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and value chain by 2050. Net zero means reducing our greenhouse gas emissions as far as possible and balancing any remaining emissions through permanent removals. The net zero commitment covers Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (energy-related), and relevant Scope 3 (value chain) emissions as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
Our net zero commitment aims to support the United Nations COP21 commitment to limiting the increase in average global temperature to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
Using 2024 as a baseline, we plan to reduce our carbon emissions by half from 10.1 tonnes CO2e by 2034 and by 90% by 2050. To achieve this, we have committed to the actions published on our website.
To neutralise remaining emissions, which cannot be eliminated due to business operations, we plan to carry out additional actions, which will also appear on our website.
We will disclose our progress towards net zero annually via our website.
